THE PANCAKE PARLOUR GREAT RACE

On Friday, 18th January 2008, The Pancake Parlour Great Race was a charity fundraiser with The Pancake Parlour donating $20,000 to the James Macready-Bryan Foundation.

The foundation benefited from the on-air challenge made between 3AW’s Breakfast co-host Ross Stevenson and AFL Umpire Darren Goldspink to race around The Tan running track encircling the Royal Botanical Gardens.

The James Macready-Bryan (JMB) Foundation provides support for the rehabilitation of James Macready-Bryan and others in similar necessitous circumstances. Macready-Bryan incurred life changing injuries to his brain as a result of an assault in 2006. The foundation aims to raise money and public awareness of the plight of many young people in the community who find themselves, through their disabilities, confined to unsuitable accommodation and with inadequate opportunity to receive appropriate rehabilitation and care.
