THE LOVELY LADY LOGO
The image of a pleasant faced girl holding up a fork was to become synonymous with The Pancake Parlour restaurants. Peter Von Czarnecki adapted a woodcut from a long defunct British magazine advertisement for,‘Harleen for the Hair’. He replaced the comb in the ladies hand with a fork and underneath emblazoned the simple word - Lovely! The now famous Lovely Lady Logo! The Lovely Lady later was adorned on unlikely places as the helmets of the US Soldiers in Vietnam, the snowmobiles of the Australian contingent in Antarctica and the giant hot air balloons of Roger Meadmore in the skies over Europe during the world championships.
